There will be thunder in Oxford this Sunday, on the football pitch that is. The Sussex Thunder are heading into town for the Oxford Saints first home game of the season.
The two teams will be renewing their rivalry & are guaranteed to dust up a mega storm, not to be missed.
Oxford beat Sussex both home & away last season so the Thunder will be looking for some serious revenge come Sunday. Rejuvenated by the off-season signing of Former Hampshire Thrashers coach Len Scott, the Thunder are looking in good shape.
Coach Scott is extremely well respected around the league & always produces tough, well drilled teams with an exciting offence. This is also the season opener for Sussex after their game against Norwich last week was postponed. So they will be looking to get their new Head Coach off to a winning start.
The Saints however are coming off of a tie in their first game, so will be well up for this one, desperate to get the notch in the wins column.
Oxford will be back to full strength after being seriously undermanned for their first game. The Saints 'Pain Gang' defence was at its dominating best during the 2nd half against Norwich & will be looking to continue that form Sunday.
The offense has been looking sharp in practice this week & will be looking to rain down some bad weather of their own on the Thunder. QB Jay Taylor finally gets to lead out a full strength offence, so expect some fireworks.
So here we go:
Saints v Thunder
Can the Oxford skyline be lit up by Jay Taylor & his lightning quick receiving corps?
Or can the Thunder defence cast its storm cloud over the Saints house party?
Will Coach Scott's new look Sussex offence electrify Oxford & strike fear into the hearts of the Saints D?
Or will it be the marauding, bullying, battering Saints defence that comes out on top?
Big Plays, Big Hits.
THE STORMS A COMING
Don’t Miss It, Be there!
