Saints celebrate 2009 season

The Oxford Saints held their Annual Awards Evening at the Oxford Rugby Club on Saturday after a good season finishing the season 8-2 and finishing second in the division and making the playoffs unfortunately losing to the Cambridge Cats.

The awards were as follows:

• Team MVP - Andrew  (Snake) Day


• Offence MVP - Chris Taylor


• Defence MVP - Lee Hutton


• Special Teams MVP - Ben Saunders


• Most Improved - Chris Ellis


• Veteran Award - Tom Beauchamp


• Lineman of the Year - Lee Hutton


• Rookie Defence - Jonny Dover


• G.M. Award / the Roger Hedges Memorial Trophy - Paul Silva


• Keith Turner Award - Steve Harris Carl Harris


• 2009 Inductees to the Bulldogs/Saints Hall of Fame - Gary Walker, Richard Davis, Pam Hedges
