A message to the club from former HC Steve Connor

275px-Steve_Connor_2008In 2013 we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Oxford Bulldogs/Oxford Saints, making us one of the oldest and longest running clubs in the UK!

Former NFL Chicago Bear Steve Connor became head coach for the Saints in 1991 (at the time still called the Bulldogs) He led the team to a 9-1 record and the clubs first playoff appearance for 4 years, defeated once again at the quarter final stage in a thriller against Sutton Coldfield.

He wasn’t able to make our big party back in October 2013, which was enjoyed by many current and former players, but he kindly sent this special video message to us instead.

The Saints committee inducted Connor into the Oxford Saints Hall of Fame for his contributions to the team.

We are proud of the deep history surrounding our club and it’s important for us to reflect back on it as the 2015 season is about to begin.

Check it out!
